The nominees for the 2011 MTV VMAs are out!

Katy Perry leads the pack with 9 nominations, in conjunction with Handiest Pop Video, Handiest Collaboration, Handiest Path, Handiest Special Effects, and Video of the Yr for “Firework.”

British songstress Adele and Kanye West tied for seven nods, while Bruno Mars earned four.

Beyonce, Woman Gaga, and Nicki Minaj each scored three nominations. Furthermore up for Moonmen awards: Eminem, Chris Brown, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Pitbull.
