Celebrity Barman, Okechukwu Pascal, better known as , has reacted to the arrest of Nigerian singer cum businessman, E-Money by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged Naira abuse.

Naija News reports that at public events, which was said to have contravened provisions of the Foreign Exchange Act and regulations on currency abuse.

Expressing solidarity with the Igbo entrepreneur, in a post via his Instagram page, Cubana Chiefpriest claimed that the arrest was driven by E-Money’s growing influence and his support for the southeast region.

The socialite said he had envisioned E-Money’s arrest, especially with the just-concluded Easter homecoming concert held in the Southeast.

Cubana Chiefpriest reassured E-Money that the experience would only strengthen him and highlighted the resilience of the Igbo people.

He said: “This Is A Guy Who Just Did Everything To Push Up Southeast With His Just Concluded Home Coming Concert This Easter. I Knew They Will Come For Him Because The Just Saw His Strength, They Are Doing This So The Can Break Him So As To Make Him Succumb.

Legendary Juju musician, , has dismissed widespread rumours about his safety and whereabouts, reassuring fans on Tuesday that he is neither missing nor kidnapped.

The music icon shared the clarification in a live video posted by his wife, Bose Olubo-Adegeye, after a social media storm was sparked by his daughter, Damilola Adeniyi-Adegeye.

On Monday, Damilola raised alarm over her father’s supposed disappearance, accusing her stepbrother, Dayo, whom she referred to as KSA’s manager, of allegedly holding the veteran singer hostage and mismanaging his affairs.

In a series of emotional social media posts, Damilola claimed that Dayo had been “stealing” from her father and denying others access to him.

She also called for Dayo’s arrest, saying, “Dad told my brother that he wants to go home. Where is he? Where are his phones? He has not been online or picking up his calls. Where is he?”

Another of her posts read: “I want Dayo (manager) apprehended. I want him to provide all the money they have been stealing from him. He has a UK visa, thinking he can run.”

However, in a live video on Tuesday, King Sunny Ade directly addressed the rumours, reassuring his fans that he is in good health and continues to perform at live events.

He mentioned performing at a show in Lekki, Lagos, over the weekend and noted that he was on his way to another performance.

“Nobody kidnapped me. I pray, as I don’t want anybody to kidnap me. I believe that the whole world is in love with me. This is me, King Sunny Ade. I have to thank God and you, my fans, for the concern. I have been doing my shows. I was at a show last Saturday at Lekki, Lagos. I am on my way to have a show, and I am coming back again to play in Lagos, as well. So, I have nothing to say other than to thank God and to thank you,” KSA said.

King Sunny Ade also thanked Nigerians and his fans worldwide for their concern. He acknowledged that the confusion may have arisen due to some of his children not having seen him recently.

“I know my children are in love with me, and they want to see me. I didn’t go anywhere. This is me. I thank the children, too, for their concern as well,” he added.

The singer concluded by expressing his continued passion for music, saying, “By God’s grace, enjoyment continues. I am still in music. Music is my life; it is my business, and I will continue to do it. I thank the whole world for loving me as usual.”

Nollywood veteran, Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, better known as , has been crowned the traditional ruler of Umuihuocha Obohia Autonomous Community, in Ahiazu Mbaise Council Area of Imo State.

Naija News reports that the veteran comedian disclosed this on his Instagram handle.

The 55-year-old entertainer, with his coronation, according to the Guardian, formally assumes the title His Royal Highness, Eze Okechukwu Onyegbule, OKWE II of Umuihuocha Obohia, becoming the second monarch to bear the revered OKWE title.

The post on his Instagram handle, on Sunday, read: “Special thanks to the entire Umuihuocha Autonomous Community….a new beginning.”

Umuihuocha Obohia, part of the culturally rich Mbaise region, is a well-established autonomous community known for its deep-rooted traditions and communal solidarity.

The enthroning of Okey Bakassi marked a new begining outside his entertainment life that has lasted more than two decades.

Whether his new calling would downplay his social activism is yet to be known.

Operatives of the (EFCC) have arrested Lagos socialite, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, also known as E-Money, over allegations of abusing the Naira note and defacing foreign currencies.

According to sources within the commission, E-Money was taken into custody on Monday night at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos.

The arrest follows allegations that the socialite was involved in the illegal act of spraying United States dollars, an activity that allegedly violates the Foreign Exchange Act.

An EFCC source disclosed to Punch, “On Monday night, we arrested E-Money for Naira abuse and defacing foreign currencies. Specifically, he was alleged to have sprayed U.S. dollars, which is against the Foreign Exchange Act.”

The source further revealed that E-Money is currently undergoing preliminary investigations and will be charged in court once the investigation is concluded.

“He was arrested at his Omole, Lagos residence. Preliminary investigations are ongoing, and he will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the source confirmed.

Another source, who requested anonymity, confirmed to Punch that E-Money is being flown to Abuja for further questioning regarding the matter. The source added, “Yes, he has been arrested and is being flown to Abuja as I speak, to face investigators on the issue.”

The family of renowned juju musician, Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King , has dismissed rumours circulating about his alleged kidnapping and unknown whereabouts.

Naija News reports that the singer’s daughter, , raised concerns over the whereabouts and well-being of her father.

Damilola voiced her distress, alleging that the musician may be under undue influence and no longer in full control of his finances, suggesting that individuals close to her father, including his manager, could be involved.

She further appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene and investigate the situation.

However, one of Sunny Ade’s children, who also serves as his manager, Dayo Adegeye, issued a statement on Tuesday clarifying that his father is safe and sound.

Dayo described the rumours of Sunny Ade’s kidnapping as a malicious attempt to tarnish the legendary musician’s image.

He said, “We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound.

“There is no truth to the kidnapping rumor, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.

“The King of World Beats, King Sunny Ade, is not abducted or kidnapped by anyone.

“The Adegeye family and King Sunny Ade’s team are working diligently to put an end to the rumour and protect his reputation.

“The public can rest assured that King Sunny Ade is in good health and spirits, and his focus remains on his music and legacy.”

Renowned Juju musician, , has reportedly been kidnapped.

Naija News reports that the singer’s daughter, Damilola Adeniyi, in a series of Instagram posts on Monday, April 28, 2025, raised concerns over the whereabouts and well-being of her father.

Damilola voiced her distress, alleging that the musician may be under undue influence and no longer in full control of his finances, suggesting that individuals close to her father, including his manager, could be involved.

She further appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene and investigate the situation.

She wrote, “I want the authorities to step in. I believe there is financial mismanagement happening, and my father’s welfare is at stake.”

Responding to a journalist who inquired about her family, Annie stated that her only family is her two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, whom she considers her “backbone.”
